While trying to get some information on Lubricating Engineer's Oils, here is a response I got when asking about fully synthetic, which they don't have. Several mechanics I know think this is the greatest stuff made, however after reading about this [popular] subject here lately, I am leaning towards Mobil 1 0W 40. Thanks for all the info, Jae. Here it is:

We take a little different take on the fully synthetic engine oil theory.
We have found that while fully synthetic oils are very good for some things, such as oil life, they do not do very well with other requirements for engine oil like additive retention. Therefore we formulate our oils to take advantage of the positives of synthetic and non-synthetic oils and eliminate the negatives of each. By doing this we are able to make the following label claim. No other brand of engine oil what so ever, regardless of price, will be found superior to Monolec Engine Oil at the end of any give period of use. So if you wish to use the best oil that you can for your Saab then I would suggest that you use our 8130 Monolec engine oil.

Here are their listed specifications:
API-ASTM-SAE-SH/CF/CH-4
Mack EO-M plus
Caterpillar TO-2
MIL-L-2104E and MIL-L-46152E
Ford ESE-M2C153-E
GM 6094-M
CCMC, D4,D5,G4,G5,PD2
Daimler Benz 226.1 and 227.1
WV 500.00 and 501.01
Allison C-4
Volvo VDS

Their wear additive is called MONOLEC.

What do you think Jae, Anders, & Greg.....is this stuff out of date with the best synthetics now available?
