I couldn't agree more!!! While semi- & non-syn oils may work fine for the short, American-style change interval, better protection over longer intervals is afforded by premium full-syn oils.
I'm sorry, but I need to say that again:
Better protection over longer intervals.
And for your own sake, if you choose to frequently change semi- or non-syn oil, please make sure it meets current API SL standards AT THE VERY LEAST.
