I am having the same problem with my a/c. Warm air on the driver side only, but cool air everywhere else. My ACC shows a motor fault code (D2495), but when my repair place pulled the motor, they found it was fine, but the plastic arm was broken for controlling the flap.

They were more shocked than I was about what the dealer told them it would cost for the entire heater box and labor. They had another 1999 9-5 in the very same day for the exact same thing. The Saab dealer my repair place (which has authorized Sabb repair techs) orders parts from said this is a common problem. Even my repair place said I should be contacting Sabb about this. By looking at the board's threads, this is by no means an isolated incident.

I have got to hope this is common enough to become a TSB issue. I was quoted $2600 for the job! I told them no way until I see who else has been getting the (same broken) shaft on this situation.

Please let me know how many people you've been able to amass. I think a class action suit may be in order if they won't do the right thing and repair it for free. It has to be a design/part defect. Email address is cutmedoc@sbcglobal.net
