My humble opinion: If oil changes are done frequently (i.e. 5000 or less is my definition of "frequently") then the Saab Turbo 5W-30 oil is plenty adequate. Unless you are driving in extreme weather conditions and/or desiring to extend drain intervals well past 5000 miles, I'm of the opinion that your car will derive no tangible benefit from going full synth.
If you want to experiment with this, you could begin by having your oil analysed every change and develop trend data that could support a change to full synth if that's your goal.
If you're concerned or nervous and would rather change to make yourself feel better, there's certainly no harm in switching to full synth. Personally, I use full synth and don't go beyond 5000 miles because that's what makes me feel good about and that's all that matters to me. It sounds like you are taking good care of your car and I'm sure whatever change interval and oil type you use, your car will continue to take good care of you.
The message is authentic. This is the Captain. (sorry, just watch "Crimson Tide")
