MB is bring back diesels to this market.
VW will have a 130HP Passat this fall.
Biodiesel is a hard find for most. The current VW's need the injector return lines replaced with a different material as BD or BD100 at least, will make it swell.
Amoco Premier is 50 cetane, low sulfer, water white and does not stink. That is the fuel that most folks in the know are after. It is not in all markets. Many AMOCO pumps labled Premier are pumping rot gut #2... mis labeling for sure. So one has to ask. We have a number of outlets with this good fuel in KC KS and Lawrence KS. Could show up at BP stations these days too.
The only internal mechnical failure that I can recall was a modified TDI that was getting 30 PSI boost spikes. That ended up with bent rods. I don't consider the damage from a failed TB to be an internal mechanical failure, even though that is the result.
