Many body shop will argue for you, and try to get the new oem parts. It seems like its a game for the adjusters to try and not pay what you deserve for your new car repair. I didnt have luck with mine. Allstate wanted to use a re-furbushed (previously damaged) cover. I decided to screw it and just have the damaged area repainted. Im gonna have to live with the scared black moulding. I would rather have the original cover than the re-furushed one. I have had bad luck non factory painted bumpers on other cars.
I feel your pain!! Im in a loaner car also, and not a good one at that.
