Don't know that I can add much to this esteemed crowd. '02 Aero wagon, 5 spd manual. Love it. Sometimes wish I had an automatic in DC traffic (third worst in the nation). But, for the most part, I'd go with the manual again. Seems to makes the most of 250 hp IMHO and it does keep you more involved. Plus, the Aero is so comfortable (seat, seating position) that clutching is not awkward/painstaking in bumper-to-bumper. My advice: manual. But you'll love the Aero in either form. I have driven the auto Aero, and I've been very glad to get back to my manual.
PS - Had a V6 Accord -- my only automatic. Went right back into a 5 spd. I think it's in my blood.
