yes, the hot air is coming from the floor/and defrost vents at a 64 or 66 setting.. I understand your point, but for whatever reason, this is the first car I owned that set the fan speed that high to start. my old cars were lexus/volvo and I never noticed this concern. Now I reset the computer to be what I call 'manual' mode at floor only, low 2 bar speed. It works, but auto would be great, if ONLY i could change the default to low speed. (guess we beat this one to death)
