I think most of your questions ARE all in there. Besides, you may get insight to many of the features which are NOT obvious, even if you've been driving for years. I did!

Also, this site has a GREAT search feature. Try it, and you'll be amazed at how much you can learn which may have been covered on numerous occassions. For example "night panel" comes up w/80+ references. Often I learn something I didn't even know to ask when looking!

The night panel is interesting. NOT mentioned in the manual is that the speedometer range that is blacked out can be adjusted from the standard "blacked out" section with the Tech II.

Mine is set to reilluminate at 75mph, not the 85ish that comes with it. I also have mine set to reilluminate the gas gauge at 1/4 tank.
