My 9-5 is almost 6 years old now (only 51K miles, early '98 build date) and so far it has been the most reliable car I have ever purchased. The only recurring problem was it loved to eat sunroof wind deflectors, but a replacement sunroof fixed that. However I am now getting the dreaded ACC fault code 8, which I am not pleased with; so far I have been able to coax the system back into operation twice, but am not happy because I know it will eventually fail completely.
I will probably replace the car in a couple of years, but am not sure I will purchase another Saab. Reliability is not the issue, the lack of keeping up with technology is. For example, I would like to have a navigation system, built in XM, and Bluetooth for my cel phone (Acura TL?). I would like to have this added to the current or upcoming 9-5. I know some of this is available in the 9-3SS, however I prefer the 9-5.
