I've had no major issues and a handful of very minor ones with my '01 Aero, 72k miles, purchased new, late '01.
Minor stuff: A/C evaporator (had the moaning sound when car shut off but AC worked fine) in the first 3k miles. Had fuel tank baffle installed early on then had to be replaced/installed correctly a year later. DI cassette at 30k. SID pixels are starting to slowly fade out in the last six months. No light bulbs replaced (disabled DRLs at time of purchase), ever. Original battery, too.
Maintenance: Front brake pads every 30k miles, front rotors at 60k (now using EBC Greens/Viggen rotors). Rear pads (OE) at 65k. Oil changes @ 3500 with Saab semi-synth, now 7k intervals with M1 0w40. Had all major services per the book and also had PCV cleared at 60k.
Terrific car. Still tight, still very quick, quiet and fun to drive! I've taken several long, fast roadtrips since I've had the car. There's nothing better for blasting across the continent or driving daily.
Paul
