I live in Maine, and have all of my life. I have been driving in Winter for 20+ years so i have a little experience. My 2000 aero has TOYO "all season." If you read my little story posted yesterday about ice fishing they performed fine. I have always been a winter/summer tire person, but did not want to spend the money on 17" winter tires and did not want to run 16" on my aero. Although i would not recommend the TOYO i would recommon an all season tire. I recently order Continential COntiExtreme all season 17" tires. They just arrived this week and i have not mounted them. I spent lots of time reading and for the money i felt these tires to be the best all around. %108 each.
But the long and short of my rant is 75% of winter driving issue is the driver. If you are not use to driving in snow and ice any car or any tire will not perform well.
