The one time I didn't, it was a bear to swap the rims. At one point, the dealer applied the copper anti-sieze when performing a service. Remember to clean the gunk off before applying it. I wasn't too hep on modifying rims so I just use the anti-sieze when I swap tires in the spring and fall. It works long enough so that when I rotate the tires mid-summer I can skip it.
