Thanks for letting me know you took the time to read thru it. The reports take me a while to assemble, so it helps to know others may be getting something out of it all. It seems like a lot of details in there, but I've found I usually need to do LOTS of prep-work to get any meaningful results. Without the background info, the UOA looks perfectly hideous. But WITH the info (questionable prior history, first run of M1, DV testing, fuel system enema, thousands of short trips, etc), you start to understand all the abuse it took. IMO, for everything it went thru, it came out looking pretty good.
I'm also changing over to syn in my '99's (auto) tranny, with M1 ATF. I've done one syn drain & fill, & will do another within the next month. I'm sticking with the copper NGKs for our LPT turbo, but I'm going to start using the fatter PF13-sized oil filters. (Are you using the equivalent to the longer ACDelco PFL400 size?) I'm looking forward to hearing your results!
