I agree, they're at least 10 years too late to jump on

that bandwagon, and IRONICALLY with gas prices going where they're going, this is the time to get one of those 4 Cylinder fuel efficient models Saab has been making all along. As for the 9-2x, I don't know what the sales figures are for the WRX, but I don't see a whole lot of them on the road, they seem to be kind of a niche model, and if you slap a Saab badge on it, something tells me that the crowd that is interested in that sort of thing could care less what the badge says. I hope I am wrong but I see the 9-2x as miserable sales failure, even though its really fun to drive the WRX and its as pratical as can be, a large part of its appeal is the value(price), which the Saab premium destroys.
The 9-3x - now there is a car that will help Saab boost sales and its a perfect compliment to the 9-3SS, given that it has a hatch, too bad its not further along in develeopment. The market starves for new not recycled. Heck, I would have bought a 9-3x over the 9-5 Aero Wagon I just bought.
