I agree with the initial price debate being too high...

as my initial sticker was $43K, but I paid $31.2K for 400+ miles on clock. I was dumbfounded at the discount, and decided on the spot to buy my Aero wagon.
After reading this site for a number of months, I realize that it was the INCENTIVES that closed the deal, and I did not know it. IF Saab could promote the discounted prices more, they may draw from the other Euro plates such as Audi & BMW, who do not discount NEARLY that much.
Either make the car worth $43K, and outperform or discount loaded price, and become value leader much like Infiniti & G35, which can run circles around a comparably equipped 3-series, and has made many of us forget about the Lexus I300 & generic Acura.
I think VALUE leader is the way to go, and produce a car with better quality, much the way VW did on the new(er) Passat interiors.
