Problem is that it doesn't seem to be a final solution for it.
After doing some searching, I found out about it from this board and tried it on the next 9-5 that came in with popping/clicking noise.
I had the car in about a month ago and lubed it up good, the clicking/popping went away instantly but we will see how long it stays away.
I noticed that you actually have to take the steering column apart to get grease all the way up on the splined part. If someone only do a quicki job smearing some grease on the bottom end of column it might not work at all.
Can't explain though why some cars have the noise and other don't.
