Had clunk fixed yesterday..

Dropped the car off at the dealer a few days ago and mentioned the steering column clunk. Dealer had never heard of the issue until I mentioned it. I find that hard to believe being this is a high volume dealership.
But anyways..I read the service record and the fix was lubing of the joints in the steering column.
Picked the car up yesterday and sure enough, the steering feels tighter and the clunking is gone. Feels as good as new!
I'm happy again, but after reading around, this sounds like a band aid fix, so it'll likely be back someday..
