Break Sqeeeealll is driving me crazy. I have an '04 9-5...7 months old. Brakes started squeeling a few months ago. Mentioned it to dealer...and they dismissed it as 'normal to SAAB'...i won't forget that phrase ...'normal to SAAB'. I've driven a lot of cars and have never experienced this. It sounds like a poorly maintained taxi cab ,and I pay heaps for this car. its getting to the point that I don't enjoy the driving experience even thou the car is nice in other respects.
I posted on this subject a few months back and got no responses. I understand about brake dust and dirty brakes, and new non-organic (non-asbestos pads). I drive in friends bnw's, volvos, etc and they have similar brakes but no squeal.
Have others experienced this 'normal to SAAB' phenomenon ? Any ideas about a solution ?
Thanks
Jeff
