You asked some interesting question. Some that I have asked with no answers. Let me ask you did you ever get a reply about the differences in P/S fluid. Seems like if your gonna try to stop the leak that a slightly higher viscosity would be good to try. Also what have you found out about using your rack as a manual. Everybody I ask tell me that parking is harder etc etc but what about function. I considered this, I still am, but I'm concerned that the function of the rack will be unreliable. Let us know what happens if you try the flush and refill method. In fact I'm gonna try this during the week and we can compair notes. Again if all else fails I say go ahead and change the rack, you should be able to handle it.
