In addition to the four jacking points found along the two sides of the car (where jacks stands are intended to go), there are ALSO points front and rear (one each) for actually jacking the car up.
Front: Heavy extruded crossmember running under transmission (side to side, about 5" wide).
Rear: Angle iron jack point just rearward of gas tank.
These are the points to jack the car up. Then, put the jackstands at the front/rear two side jackpoints as you make clearance.
And don't skimp on the jack/jackstands. You can get a decent Craftsman/other kit for a reasonable cost. I got a 3 ton set (floor jack and stands) on sale for $95. BTW, the car weighs nearly 1.5 tons, so keep that in mind when debating how much to spend on decent quality stuff....
