The system reads the voltage off of the O2 sensor. The resistance is probably moot, though I am not sure what the input circuitry for the LH computer looks like. It would be best to have a good, solid, clean connection which is sealed to maintain integrity of the joint. It is hot and wet down there where the sensor is. I would suggest using Raychem heat shrink to ensure that the connection is kept clean and dry. Other than that, it is the same unit. I have been looking for the pins and plug for the Ford sensor so that I could crimp the pins on and have a nextension cord. You can get the plog with about 6" of wire connected to teh crimped pins, but still need to splice this in. Does anybody have a source for these so that it can be 'done right'?
