It takes about two hours if you dog it and do it with four jackstands.
Take out both front seats and the center console and the between seat console and take out the front carpet...about 20 minutes. While the carpet is out you can shampoo it good, rinse it and let it dry upside down on a picnic table.
The heat shield is held on with about five fasteners...a bolt up from the bottom in the front and four bolts down from the top (maybe only two?, I forget) under the between seat console you removed.
The new heat shield can be flexed and put in between the cat and the car...just be sure the shield doesn't come CLOSE to the cat when everything is tightened up because things resonate at around 3500-4K rpm...the shield may vibrate against the cat and it gets noisy.
Put it back together. The carpet will dry overnight.
