I have found a lot of wrong diagnosis of c900 trans. I know of a 900 that went for 4 years with problems diagnosed as needs trans repair. Went through 2 owners and then a rsk taker bought it, took it to the man who knows his Saab trans - he repaired and adjusted the shifter anno trans problems. Also seems that clutches are replaced well before there time because they can last a lot longer than people will accept. A carefully driven car with highway miles can run on the original clutch for well over 200K. Good luck - find an experienced Saab trans tech.
