I think my 9-3 will smoke my SPG, and it's a base 9-3. The SPG may be quick on the highway, but the 9-3 seems a bit faster. But come on, they're not race cars. They're not fast off the line. We all know they're fun to drive, though. But let's not kid ourselves.
The other problem is that every old 900 I have driven (I admit it's only about 4 or 5) have notchy transmissions. That slows it down even more... I can shift the 9-3 much faster, which would make the car faster. But even the 9-3 shifts worse than a toyota, honda, or miata. I can't say I've driven a porsche or other mega-buck sports car... Bottom line, there's no need to debate SPG vs. 900T. A 9000 Aero with smoke either one, as will many other cars. And they're not race cars...
