Justin, hope you like Ohio. Snow driving is a skill, and must be practiced to gain competance. Don't know how much snow you'll get but it is important to have 4 good matching tires. At the first snow, find a (large) parking lot and gently begin seeing where the limits of adhesion are. Turn the sound system off and roll down the windows so you can hear what the tires are doing. Remember, think saftey and be gentle. Practice, practice, practice, when you get on the road in ice and snow test the surface (when you can) by gently applying the brakes to see what the grip is like, with practice and if you pay attention soon you will be able to read conditions which will allow you to go quickly and safely. Some things to watch out for: The mounds of heavy snow and slush that build up on a highway in a heavy storm, be careful with lane changes until you are comfortable with them. If it's snowing hard and the wind is comming from behind the SAAB you may find you are going faster than you think (reversee is true for heading into the wind). Dry snow on smooth ice = no grip, this usually occurs only with very cold -0 temps. (I once put a brand new Fiat Brava into a tree because of 1/4 inch of snow that had fallen on a road that was dry except for some ice on an the apex of a 90 degree left hander). Good luck, let us know how it goes.
