ARGH.. 86 SPG is idling very high out of nowhere?

Hello everyone,
A couple of days ago, I cleaned my AIC with intake cleaner spray and it was pretty dirty. After I replaced it, my idle was a little better and everything seemed to be fine. Last night, driving was fine until I came to a stop at a light, then i was idling at about 1300rpm. I have no idea why.
Driving on... later it seemed to idle normally at 800rpm. It worked fine just about all night. This morning, starting the car, it tries to idle at almost 2000rpm!
could this have anything to do with cleaning the AIC valve? My dashpot is dead so thats not even affecting it. My throttle cable is not too tight either, it has a little bit of slack even.
I dont know if this is my imagination, but it seems almost that the throttle isnt closing as much as it used to the other day. The top of the throttle that actually hits the stop screw on top doesnt actually hit it anymore. There's a gap between this screw and the part that smacks it. I could have sworn that it was touching it the other day. any thoughts? Thanks...
