I have seen a lot of posts on the issue of starting problems after the car has been driven and parked for 20 minutes or so. Haven't found a
solution for it.
Im having the same problem. Here are the facts:
1. Car starts perfectly when starting cold (after sitting over night).
2. Car has a hard time starting after sitting for 20-30 minutes after being driven and being warm. It will start easily up to 5 minutes of sitting after being warm.
3. Car comes to life after cranking several times and blows grayish smoke. It also smells of unburned fuel. No doubt that it has been
flooded.
4. It has the following new items: Oxygen sensor, vacuum lines , intake rubber bushings , coolant temp sensor, thermostat, radiator/fan
thermal switch , AIC valve and a new head gasket and valve job.
5. The dealer tried to fix this problem and changed the AIC valve to no avail.
Would love to see this mystery solved as I have seen many fellow SAAB-ers post mssgs to the same effect.
As usual, thanks to all in advance.
