For whatever it is worth I have found the Hakkas from several years ago to be pretty unstable in regular dry weather and fast driving, but yes, great in the snow, esp. with one set I had with the studs. Now for several years I have had Blizzaks on two SAABs and a Chysler Concorde (Wife's car of course) and they are unbeatable on the ice and pretty good on the snow. I now have Arctic Alpins on my '86 900T and they are good on ice and snow but not as good as the Blizzaks. If I had it to do over I would stick with the Blizzaks as a personal judgment. The winters here are variable with maybe 4 or 6 periods of measurable snow during the winter but many more often times mixed weather with icing and slush, black ice, snow drifts and conditions being difficult to predict. I live down a very steep hill, maybe 125 meters long and I have always been able to get out except when there have been over 6-8 inches of fresh unplowed snow which I have not tried in a car. The old four wheel drive jeep pickup (restored J20) has never let me down in the worst of it. Good luck.
