But I'm sure they are charging an arm and a leg for labor. Do you have keyless entry for your driverside door? If so, you don't have to replace any of the actuators. If not, you would have to replace one if you wanted it to work right, but you don't have to. I had my alarm setup using the existing door lock setup. I had to physically lock and unlock the driverside door though, the alarm would unlock all the other doors. To fix it you just have to get a passengerside or hatch/trunk actuator and replace the driverside actuator. I just haven't done it yet. The actuators are all 12v activated by a 1 or 3 sec pulse. Most alarm systems use the same type of actuators. The factory ones fit perfectly already though. I have two extra ones actually, if you want one.

For the installation, it shouldn't be that difficult if it is a factory alarm. The wiring harness should already be in place. It's just about tapping into the harness, should be easy w/ a wire diagram. The installer that wants to charge you 360 probably won't do this. They will install their own harness. I think it's a waste of time. Plus I've seen so many bad installations. When parting out cars, the wiring looks like virus's that have infected the car. The looms aren't laid out properly and they get in the way of removing and putting in parts. It's horrible.

To install the alarm:
You just need to replace driverside actuator, disable door lock controller, remove old alarm ecu, and tap into the existing harness. You might have to run a few wires but only a few. The hardest part is programming the Alarm to your likings! With a Bentley it should take about 4 or 5 hours. A great alarm w/ all the bells and whistles will run from 150-200.00(retail). If you just want keyless entry it will run around 50-100 and the install will be cut down by 2-3 hours. Avital and clifford are good alarms.
