Impossible to install a stereo in a Saab!

I got an Alpine CD a few weeks ago and no one will install it (1987 900S 3d with factory amp). One place got so far as to pull it out of the dash until they saw that all of the wires going in were in one black cable-that plus the dk brown antenna wire. I cut open the cable, but the wires are totally different from the ISO on my Alpine. The color and number of wires are different. There is a big black cable running from the stereo to the amp, and a similar cable, but its end it capped. So how do I get the thing hooked up?
My friend and I were thinking about just rewiring the whole car, any tips on that? where would I run the wires down for the rear speakers? Under the floor?
I just want to get this thing installed, any help would be appreciated.
