I have done this twice. First find a wiring diagram of your model saab. Remove the stero from your Saab. What you need is make an an adapter from the two big black plugs to the new stereo (the round one goes to the amp/equilizer which you won't need). What I did, since I was not going to use the old stereo, is cut off the two big black plugs from the old stereo with 6-8" of wire and pluged back into the ones in the car. Using the wiring diagram from the Saab and the new stereo I made a wiring diagram of which wires needed to connect where. Be sure to solder wires for a good connection. Worked great. Another way is call Crutchfield. They sell adapters.
