I realize most of you are still dealing with cold and wet pre-spring conditions, but here in So. Cal, summer arrived early. With temps already in the 80's where I live, I'm not looking forward to the 90+ stuff soon to come. And I have no AC. I tried it the other day and got only warm air. The compressor is fine, but from a look at the bubble window atop the receiver, I know it's in need of a refrigerant recharging. I'm opting for a 134A conversion. I've read plenty of the posts on here about it, and the local Pep Boys has a reasonably priced kit. I do intend on draining and flushing the entire system first. My question is: just how much oil does my (C900 82T) system take? There's no reference here or on the conversion kit packaging that states the required amount. I suppose I can make an educated guess when I measure the amount drained, but perhaps that amount is low to begin with. Once I determine the proper oil capacity, the amount of R134A I can figure out logically. Thanks in advance.
