agree that location of rad-switch will allow higher temps as rad is plugged. This has been my posted argument for years, that high fan kick in points, with good t-stat, means time for a new rad, not time for 82C switch band-aid. But with badly plugged rad, temps tended to start running higher most of the time ... condition not suggested by Brian.
disagree on 85 having to be running for 2nd fan to work, only need key on, as I noted in my test. minor point.
