Take a look at http://www.sobstory.com and http://www.eeuroparts.com. They're fairly close to you and have quite good prices.
The hydraulic line does fail from time to time. And, of course, when it does, pressure loss is instantaneous. Master and slave cylinders will fail slowly.
One thing to check is whether the car has a new brake master. Sometimes a new reservoir is put in and they don't clip the seal on the nipple from which the clutch gets its fluid. When its not clipped and there's a small fluid weep somewhere in the clutch hydraulics, it eventually sucks air into the MC when it runs out of the small fluid reserve in the hose.
The 5-piece set (sounds like something from KFC, eh?) has the clutch disc, pressure plate, slave cylinder, primary shaft seal, and throwout bearing. Line to the MC is a separate order item.
I seem to remember that some guys have repaired the line from the MC to the SC with a hose clamp if the rubber part blew off the steel.
If it's got lots of miles, you may want to replace the slave cylinder (and the rest of the clutch parts.) I replaced the clutch on my '89 recently and the slave was full of black crud. It didn't press the pressure plate fingers in enough to get the spacer in so I ended up cutting it out. Be prepared!
If you replace clutch parts, you'll want to get the clutch spacer tool. I've tried using wire, bucket handles, etc., as a clutch spacer, but the real tool wins out for ease of use.
