After reading all these posts, I've been convinced to do all my own oil changes from now on. The last (and only) time I took my 89 900 Turbo Convertible to an Instant Oil Change, They asked if it was a diesel, and couldn't figure out how to even open the hood. I had to get out and show them. My next oil change is due very soon, and I was wondering what type of oil you guys reccommend. It's an 89 with 125,000Mi on it. I've never used synthetic oil. Does it perform better than non-synthetic? Shoild I get a filter from a Pep-Boys type shop, or should I go to a Saab dealer and pay a little more for a genuine Saab part?
Thanks in Advance from a unexperienced DIY'er
