with a new rotor and cap on the distributer. You will be amazed. I have bought cars that sounded like the engine was blown, but after a complete tune-up with wires, plugs, cap and rotor, they passed emisions on the first shot.
I think your mechanic does NOT know Saabs and is trying to get you to spend bucks to line his own pockets.
