Re-post w/name!!!
Well I finally got motivated to do some work on the SAAB as I wanted my trusty winter car Blizzaks all around. I appreciate all the advice. I did change the fuel filter, but had no luck with that. I rigged up a switch to the fuse box to turn the pump on without the car running (as described in Bentley). I connected a small line to the return and placed it in a container. Flipped the switch heard the pump, and got sputtering drops of fuel. I decided to open up the pump access panel in the top of the tank to check it out. The pump had fallen out of the reservoir. I placed the O-ring back on the pump, and inserted into the reservoir, flipped the switch and fuel was flowing!!! Went for a test ride. My SAAB is currently running rough, but I am moving :).
I still have the nagging fuel cut-off problem when the turbo boast moves into the yellow, as well as diminished power under load (up steep hills). I started to do some diagnostics on the fuel pressure cut-off switch. I dis-connected the two wires from the switch, and connected them with a small wire. Still feels like the fuel cuts out.
Would appreciate any direction or advice.
Mike
