You got it. First loosen the lock nut and take the hose clamp off the boot so the boot doesn't hold the rod. I then use a small vice grip clamped on the tie rod so it's easy to grip and adjust the rod. Also make sure the steering wheel hasn't moved by checking string gap on both sides before you tighten the lock nut.
