sometimes you just have to step away from it for a little while and regroup yourself. I've replaced the clutch kit twice this year, once on my SPG, and once on the convertible. Both times it sucked but hey, that's the way it goes. The one thing I've learned is take it slow, don't let it get to you and it's usually the easy/obvious stuff that goes wrong.
It really sounds like you need to bleed the system properly. Do a search on bleeding techniques on this BB. As a last resort take a to a Saab mechanic to bleed it properly if you have to (and get the brakes all bled at the same time).
Good luck guys,
Boris
