The plywood goes the whole length of the pocket and clears the seats by about 3/8". The 8" is mounted as far towards the front of car as possible. The vinal is covering the plywood and is screwed to the door. It really hits hard right next to your legs like that for the mid range and the Dynomat does a good job. It is fun to watch the mirrors vibrate. I will get some pics up eventually. I need to get a pic website or something.

That Datsun set-up sounds really awsome! Nothing like good audio with the windows down! I'm very happy with the imaging of the highs bouncing off the windshield. I also really like the Audio Control preamp that is lighted with green around the knobs for easy sound control. Knobs are so much better than buttons. I havn't been able too kill the Quart 4.25s in dash so I can upgrade to maybe the 5.25s. These speaker are tough!
