On my 30 mile commute during our big NJ snowstorm, I grew impatient with all the SUV's clogging the clearest lanes at 35 MPH. I pulled into the left lane (surprisingly empty for the first time in NJ history)which did not even have tire ruts from other drivers. I put my Saab in 5th gear and cruised along at 55-65 MPH.
Of course, this made 1 or 2 SUV owners jealous, having paid 40 to 60K for their 4 wheel drive behemoths, to be passed by an old Saab. Of the 2 that did manage to pass, I saw promptly spin out across aa 4 lanes of the highway. He was quite lucky, but did not hit a thing, but pulled over on the side of the road (prolly to collect his thoughts or change his pants)
These Saabs are fun in the snow. They give the finger to Volvo's too.
