I pulled the engine/ trans out of my 85 turbo and separated the two in preparation to put the trans into my 87 Turbo. I just wanted to make sure and ask a few more questions before I pull the engine on the 87. 1). It appears that the front motor mount is different. Can I just switch out the front casing (that has the mount)? 2). Are WE (*GRIN*) sure this trans. is compatible? 3). How hard would it be to fix the bad trans... it has the lost 1-4 and reverse thing (only 5th) going on... It made/makes no grinding or bad sounds... so I imagine it is a matter of a shift fork or something that has broken. The trans from the 85 is an unknown variable... the engine was dead and the shifter removed so I can't tell for sure that it is a viable trans. The 87 is reallly nice so I am willing to do the work... but I would like to do it ONCE! Thanks, Brian
