If you are a DIYer and have some good pick-n-pulls around, see if you can get one from one of these cars:
'88 or '89 900S or 9000S (9k up to mid '89.)
'90 900S
'89 9000T (up to mid '89)
'89 through at least '91 900T
The 900T and 9kT ECUs have slightly different programs burned into their EPROMs, but they'll work. The '88 900S ECU won't illuminate your Upshift Light. To keep the same fuel mapping, you'd want to swap in the EPROM from your ECU.
When the ECU in my '89 SPG died (wouldn't let the engine speed go above idle without major league surging - it was undrivable), I replaced it with a '90 900S ECU.
Unfortunately, there's not a good way for us mere mortals to bench test an ECU other than to put it into a car that you know runs well.
The Ignition Amplifier for the '89 900S was a one-year deal. It's on the spark coil.
Did you put in a brand new fuel pump relay?
