I think thatJohn is pointing you in the right direction Posted by RS [Email] (#15) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RS) on Mon, 19 Apr 2004 07:16:38 In Reply to: Reviving the SPG, Scott Stiles, Sun, 18 Apr 2004 20:54:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The LH won't run the fuel pump unless it gets a signal from the ignition amplifier indicating that the engine is turning.
Since you have spark because the engine runs with a shot of gas, I'd suspect the wiring between the ignition amplifier and the ECU. Since it's been sitting so long, you may want to clean up the contacts on the ignition amplifier connector (use tuner cleaner and replace & remove the connector a few times.
You may also want to check the bulkhead connectors (where the fuexbox goes through the firewall above and foreward of the left kickpanel. You'll need to remove the lower dash to get to the connectors.
And, like John said, rodent damage is always someting to look out for.
While I'm thinking of it, you may also want to clean up the grounds behind the lifting hook. The ECU and fuel injectors ground there.
