Also a thought, the slave design is "backless," it pushes out the back instead of the front unless it's bolted in, so if you just hit the pedal while disassembling it or while it's out, OR if it's not bolted in down tight on all three bolts, the guts come out the back, at least far enough to leak.
This is something for anyone to keep in mind while doing a clutch job on a car where the hydraulics are fine.
