I have heard of seal problems on the aftermarket slave cylinders and I agree with your posting. I have had 3 of these slave cylinders fail over the past 3 years and one bypassed at the seals while the 2nd two simply failed immediately and cracked at the aluminum body. Interestingly, the 2 crack failures happened immediately after temperature changes. One happened during the first frost this year and the second happened once the engine temperatures had risen to cycle the rad. fan. Left me stranded last week and I was hoping that somebody had developed a steel slave or cast iron, etc that would not be so prone to fail.
