Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my SPG. But they are FAR from immune to rust. My car will likely see the crusher this year due to rust. I blew out a shock tower last year (rusted out) and had some front end work done. The inside bottom of the doors is rusted through nearly the whole way across. The engine bay doesn't look so hot, either. Mental note, don't buy a Rochester NY car ever again. I'm sick of spending the dough and it's past the point of being worthwhile to fix all the rust.
Now that I'm living in CA I'm looking for a nice cream puff C900T to replace my SPG. Or I find a rust free C900 with a blown engine or tranny and build up a SPG knockoff with my drivetrain and parts.
That said, I love driving the car after almost 4 years of owning it. The handling rules, and the sound and feel just can't be beat.
