With a cold car, if you turn the key to ON, do you get BOTH the ABS and Brake Fluid lights? If yo don't get the Brake Fluid light, I'd make sure that the ground for the brake fluid level switch is OK.
The primary cause of code 1312 is 12 volts on the brake fluid / ABS pressure switch when it isn't expected. One way for that to happen would be if the ground was missing. Another might be that something got mis-wired when the switch was replaced, or the switch itself is defective (oh, joy). I'm not sure, but I beleive that the fault means that there is 12 volts seen on some of the contacts (which are read by the ABS computer) when it expects them to be ground. Now, that could be either because somehow 12 volts got wired to them, or that the switches just aren't closing when the box expects them. That could indicate a bad switch.
Other than that, I'm out of ideas. I have to ask - you did install the new diodes in the proper direction?
