This goes for any older car really but its very true for a SAAB. You had either be an enthusiast or be willing to become one.
An enthusiast spends way too much time and usually money on their cars. The avaerage person would say its not worth it. These cars aren't what I'd call investments. They are great cars for enthusiasts though. They are relatively simple, designed from the beginning to be on the road for 300+ thousand miles, (Think about that for a minute and remember what was being produced at the same time) and the best thing is, It's already been done! There is no NEW problem you are going to discover with these cars. It's all documented including step by step instructions on how to fix it.
As long as you are willing to give the attention the car needs and be thurough you'll be happy.
